Update, April 10th, 2026

We are making progress toward our anticipated June 15th renovation completion date. Contractors are working, mostly in the lower level, while we are providing library services upstairs. Which means:
- It is occasionally noisy and dusty.
- The lower level remains closed and our lower level lift remains closed.
- Our nonfiction section and TV series are still inaccessible to the public for browsing.
- The eight downstairs desktop computers are inaccessible to the public. However, three laptops and one desktop computer, along with printer access, are available for public use upstairs.
As we get ready to complete our renovation we are searching for a Community Learning Center Coordinator to help us plan and implement programs for our renovated space. Please see here for a job description and how to apply.

The Cross’ Mills Public Library is excited to be the recipient of a Community Learning Center grant funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Coronavirus Capital Projects Fund (CPF) through the Governor’s Community Learning Center Municipal Grant program.
This grant will be used to create three private study spaces in the Library and to upgrade our elevator. The goal of this project is to meet health monitoring, educational and employment needs that have resulted from, or increased since, the Covid-19 pandemic. We’re seeking community input on how we might use these new spaces to meet these needs.
Please complete this short survey to let us know your thoughts.
