The Cross’ Mills Public Library will be closed to the public for three weeks, beginning Monday, January 5th through Saturday, January 24th. The Library will reopen on Monday, January 26th.
What does this mean?
- The Library will be CLOSED to the public from January 5th-January 24th to begin the renovations.
- There will be no programs or book circulation at Cross’ Mills Library during this three-week closure.
- We will be unable to check books in or out during that time and our book drops will be closed.
Starting December 12th, holds will no longer be able to be placed for pick-up at the Cross’ Mills Public Library. We will accept holds in transit through our delivery up until Tuesday, December 30th. The last day to pick up holds will be Saturday, January 3rd. Please plan ahead to get your library books!
While you are waiting for the Library to re-open, you have a few options:
- Change the pick-up location of your hold to another library
- Suspend your holds: Keep your spot on the hold list and just wait until we reopen to get your holds!

The Cross’ Mills Public Library is excited to be the recipient of a Community Learning Center grant funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Coronavirus Capital Projects Fund (CPF) through the Governor’s Community Learning Center Municipal Grant program.
This grant will be used to create three private study spaces in the Library and to upgrade our elevator. The goal of this project is to meet health monitoring, educational and employment needs that have resulted from, or increased since, the Covid-19 pandemic. We’re seeking community input on how we might use these new spaces to meet these needs.
