The Partnership to Reduce Cancer in Rhode Island is a passionate group of survivors, caregivers, healthcare providers, and advocates who are working together to reduce the burden of cancer in Rhode Island. Their mission is to lead and collaborate on efforts to prevent cancer and to improve the quality of life for all Rhode Islanders living with cancer through education, advocacy, and supportive resources. The Library serves as a meeting location for monthly Cancer Talks, a free resource available to anyone whose life has been impacted by cancer.
Cancer Talks is an education-focused support group designed to provide information in a supportive environment. Sessions cover a range of topics, including understanding insurance plans, coordinating care, navigating cancer screenings, and more. Sessions are free, open to all, and provide a safe, welcoming space to share experiences, build relationships, and find community.
We invite anyone impacted by cancer – patients, survivors, caregivers, family and friends – to join the Partnership to Reduce Cancer in Rhode Island on the first Thursday of each month for connection, education, and support. The meeting for April is Thursday, April 2nd at 5pm, and attendees are encouraged to RSVP by calling the Library.
