It’s April – the days are getting longer, the sun is warmer, and the library has another packed calendar to share! If you’re into cooking, pick up a Spice Club packet and try some of the included recipes, or incorporate Herbs de Provence into your favorite recipes. Or, try our Cookbook Book Club – the book for April is The Ikaria Way, featuring Greek and Greek-inspired dishes. Like crafts? Join the weekly Knitting Group (Thursdays at 1pm) or attend the monthly Beading Enthusiasts’ meeting. April also brings two adult crafts and two for kids – check out the Event Calendar by clicking on the tab.
No cooking, no crafting? No problem! Living History group The Dirty Blue Shirts returns with a look at the work of women during the Revolutionary War on the 17th, and the Rhode Island Food Policy Council will be teaching a workshop on backyard composting.
Don’t forget to check out our kids’ activities, including regularly-scheduled story time with Miss Kiersten and music and movement with Mr. Mike, as well as a few special programs for April Vacation week.
We hope to see you soon!
