The RIBC is asking for new blood donors to start giving, and for existing donors to donate more frequently (every 8 weeks for whole blood). To help, book an appointment online <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/donate.ribc.org\/donor\/schedules\/zip\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Donation is safe! There is no data or evidence that COVID-19 can be transmitted by blood transfusion, and the RIBC is taking extra precautions and safety measures at donation centers.
