During the pandemic, when most places closed, Cross’ Mills Library worked hard to remain open to patrons. Virtual programs expanded and classes and events moved outdoors to a tent on the back lawn.
We imagined what a lovely space this could be with a more permanent structure and began raising funds for the design, hardscaping and pavilion construction that is going on today. Thanks to grants and donations (The Champlin Foundation, private donors, and ARPA funds) the project is almost complete.
In order to make this area a safe, accessible, and vibrant 3-season space, we are embarking on a fundraising campaign for finishing touches such as landscaping, safety railings/barriers, additional seating, stepping stones for children and a sound and lighting system.
Our goal is $50,000. Thanks to a generous donor, all contributions will be doubled.
Please donate here and help us complete this wonderful project for the whole community to enjoy.
