Keep a reading log this summer! For every book you read, fill out a brief review sheet about it and turn it in to the Young Adult Librarian. For each review sheet you submit, you'll receive five raffle tickets that you can use to draw for fabulous prizes all summer long -- and our grand prizes at the end! Also, after you read and review five books, you can choose a free paperback book from our box. No registration is required.

This summer's theme is "Metamorphosis."  We've planned a variety of activities dealing with changes.

The summer events and activities culminate with a final ice cream social. We hope to see you there!

Wednesdays, June 18th - August 13th: Gardening Club with Paula Eagan.  We will cultivate our new garden behind the library.  10AM.

Tuesdays, July 8 - August 12th. Digital Photography for Young Wildlife Photographers with Tom Tetzner.  2-4PM.

Thursday, June 26th.  Spider-Man Movie Marathon.  All three films in one day, separated by 30-minute breaks! Light refreshments will be provided. Spider-Man: 11:30AM.  Spider-Man 2: 2:00PM.  Spider-Man 3: 4:30PM.

Tuesday and Wednesday, July 8th and 9th.  Photoshop Tutorial with Eric Wertheimer.  Learn Photoshop basics for the first time, or improve your technique for the contest.  10:00 - 11:30AM.

Photoshop Contest: Visit the library in July for details and contest rules.  Deadline for submissions is July 26th.

Wednesday, July 30th. Berry Merry Summer with Paula Eagan.  Back by popular demand!  Learn about local summer foods, walk the Cross' Mills Nature Path, plant miniature herb gardens to take home, and make tasty berry smoothies!  1:00 - 3:00PM.

Thursday, July 17th.  Origami with Lisa Schipritt.  Pre-registration is required.  3:00 - 4:30PM.

Thursday, July 24th. Scrapbooking with Karen Weimann.  Join us for a 4th of July themed scrapbooking session!  You will cut, paste and stamp to create two unique scrapbook pages.  Bring your own photographs to use.  Pre-registration is required, and a $10 materials fee must be paid to the instructor at the class.  Ages 8 and up.  1:00 - 3:00PM.

Wednesday, August 6th.  Hemp Jewelry Making with Kate Bussey.  Make trendy anklets and bracelets from hemp.  Pre-registration is required.  Time to be announced.

Wednesday, August 13th.  Duct Tape Jewelry with Nicholas Cicchetti. Learn how to make custom bracelets from colored duct tape!  Ages 9-12.  Space is limited, so pre-registration is required. 4:00 - 5:30PM.

Thursday, August 14th.  Ice Cream Social and Final Bash.  Wrap up the summer's activities with an ice cream party!  Create your own ice cream sundae and enjoy games with friends.  Winners of the Summer Reading Program's grand prizes will also be announced. 2:00PM.
